Duke Golf League - 8/22/06

The last round of the regular season. My teammate and I need 9 points to make the playoffs. It started off nice but rained for the first two holes and became very humid for the remaining 7.

I was getting 7 strokes and my partner was giving 2. I took 2 of the first three holes and thought I had a chance to help my team make the playoffs. From that point forward I lost every hole going 8-8-6 (par 3) 8-8-7 while my opponent shot his best round of the season. We lost 13-8 and ended up only one point shy of making the playoffs. Now I have three weeks of league golf with no prize so I will probally shoot my best rounds of the year. It was a fun season, all golf is fun but with no reward it is also disappointing.

I started the year setting new goals for practice and scoring and meet none of them so I am right where I started year.
